Title: Wheels not sitting flush in tyres
Post by: GTGirl on 02 October 2011, 17:55
Hi guys

I have recently purchased these lovely wheels from Wayne off here  But thing is they dont look like they are sitting right in the tyres, now this could just be me, so thought i'd add some pics and see what you all thought...

These are the tyres i have on they are XL ones

and this is how it all looks on

Am i just being picky, or are these tyres the wrong ones? The tyre place didnt say anything when fitting them!

Sorry for huge pics...

Thanks

What's the width of the wheels??  Will be something like 7.5J, 8J etc etc

Looking at those I reckon they are an 8.5J width so you might need a wider tyre for them to sit flush  :undecided:

Thanks Rhyso

They are an 8J - What size tyres would be best then?

Its my fellas fault as he ordered the tyres for me

Thanks

225 should be ok; it might just be the design of the wheel and also some tyres don't have rim protection so won't sit flush

Very strange, this was the wheels with 225/40/18 Falkens.

I am not sure yours are fitted right tbh.

Thanks for that Wayne! I am wondering if its the rim protectors making them sit like that, or like you say maybe not fitted right!

I love the wheels though, so will get it sorted

Thanks again.

Just a little update -

Took the car back down to the tyre fitters this morning, the wheels are fitted fine! The opinion is that its the design of that actual make.. So i am  going to order some Falkens tomorrow as i dont like they way they look on the Neutons.

Thanks for all the help guys.
