Title: 2001 1.8t crankcase breather hose
Post by: gttjames on 02 October 2011, 00:36
Just found out the top breather hose connecting to the rocker cover is split, felt the hose and its so deteriorated its crumbling in my fingers almost. The idle is abit erratic at times so i was thinking d have to start looking at plugs/coil packs etc, could this split hose be causing it?

2ndly... been on the bay and seems this is a comon fault, should i just get a OE from VW, or how about this silicone jobbies on the bay as in link below... cheers guys!

The creation motorsport ones on ebay are really good quality. I got my TIP from them and I can't fault it.

Replace with Silicone :)
