Title: pressed plates

Hi all are these any good and road legal it says they are just wanted some advice cheers

They seem to be fine - I think they also need the postcode and BSAU number on them.

'ere thats cheap but one thing that gets me is he dosent ask for any paper work? isnt that a naughty??

It is a bit really.
Though most blokes at the shows do the same, think it puts a lot of people off buying, when I got mine I was told it was ok to scan them and e mail them over.

Its to cover themselves really. At the end of the day they are just stamping plates. At shows i'm sure they are 'Show plates' So can say anything you want.

well ive bit the bulllet and bought some and i'll get them checked out by a traffic copper mate of mine and i'll get back to you all :)

They look legal enough but i'm sure by law you can only get them legally from a registered supplier which i'm not sure this guy is. Name, address and proof of entitlement is needed. I got mine from dubmeister for not much more than that and were excellent quality. I would check with him first to make sure as like above said the plates need to have the manufacturers postcode and BSAU number on them.

they need to be stamped with the dealers details at the bottom, and it needs to be a registered dealer not just some random guys postcode :P the companies who supply them as legal plates pay thousands to get all the correct paperwork etc to supply them as road legal, and I know dubmeister have spent tens of thousands researching the right combinations of materials to use to make road legal pressed metal plates so they have the correct reflective properties etc (think its on their website somewhere)
