Title: how bad does the tornado red chip (stoner chips etc...)???
Post by: bruin3182 on 24 April 2005, 13:38
I'm just about to order a MK 5 GTI - I want one in either silver or red.
I prefer the red but I want to know how hard wearing it is and whether it shows up stone chips really bad or not - If its bad then I'll go for the silver.
But, I've got a silver GT TDI (130) now, and I fancy a change!

HELP!

Tornado red in a lot of cases has a white undercoat so when it chips badly it leaves big white marks and dimples or at least it does on my mk3 maybe they have changed the undercoat for the mk5 for something a little faster..
