Title: 16v injector inserts
Post by: tony_ack on 26 September 2011, 14:35
Any idea where to get the plastic inserts that sit in the lower inlet manifold, that the injectors sit in? They're now obsolete from vw

Have you tried GSF or ECP.  :undecided:

GSF and ECP only sell the injectors themselves, it seems they don't think about the rest of the parts that need replacing when swapping the injectors!

Managed to get them from VW Classic parts via VW Heirtage but there is a 2-3 week wait - it seems VW classic parts have restarted production of these.

Good result then apart from the wait.

No I think he means the seats themselfs.

Yep, these are the bakelite seats that sit inside the lower manifold that the injectors sit in. They're held in by a copper screw-in top. Mine feel apart when I opened up the lower mani which is worrying given that they sit right above the inlet valves!
