As title.
I just thought I'd quickly scan my car for codes and 00561 came up, looking on ross tech this is the link to what it says: 00561 - Mixture Adaptation: Adaptation Limit (Add) Exceeded - http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/00561
When you start the car up the revs dip right down then it settles down. See the vid below. BUT I've also noticed it smells a bit fuelly as well when you start it.

I have a feeling I have a blow around the cat area... but otherwise the car runs great. This is annoying as I'm just about to put the car up for sale whilst its running so well and then this lol. So I was planning an oil change anyway and new air filter (do the oil every 5k) but need it to be spot on for test drives.
Has anyone had this code before or got any ideas of the most likely suspect which caused it to arise and if thus it's linked with the start up issue or when the clutch is dipped/car put into neutral? Thanks :)

could be because you got a exhaust leak have the exhaust welded up erase the fault and see if it comes back

I had the same problem the other week with the same code, car was ticking over at 500rpm, I cleaned the throttle body and it sorted it out and cleared the code
-
I had this a while back, mine was caused by an air leak due to a split hose under the inlet manifold

I think wazzer is on the button for this one after having a poke around with a torch earlier.
Ironically the car is now behaving itself again (it only did the above consistently this afternoon, never before) and now starts fine, idles fines, settles fine and the code hasn't come back.
I had sat in a motorway tailback for a couple of hours yesterday which may not have helped. Who knows.
I'll keep my eye on it :)
