Title: Wheel sizes to fit edition 30
Post by: Sug on 25 September 2011, 06:57
Hi
Thinking of putting some 19" wheels on my edition 30 and was wondering if anyone knew if this size of wheel would fit? Stud diameter of 5x112 and an offset if 35? The offset was my main concern?

Believe i may have confused so here goes my redeeming moment!  :grin:

PCD 5x112
Offset Range 35-45
15" = 195/65/15
16" = 205/55/16
17" = 225/45/17
18" = 225/40/18
19" = 235/35/19
20" = 225/30/20

Offset is dependant on the wheel width and not the diameter. For very 1/2 inch the alloy width increases, the offset should reduce by half that amount. So a half inch increase in width (12.5 mm) the offset should reduce by a quarter inch (6mm) from the OEM-offset of 51. This applies until the offset and width of the alloy combine to foul on the inner suspension strut or outer arch, which is around 9" width for the alloy ( unless you run camber plates or adjustable top mounts.  :cool:
