I have reciently replaced the Batt in my x-girlfriends h reg MK2 Golf GTI as it was totally flat, got one from Halfords, fitted, all ok until the other day, the cars dead again, could it be anything other than the alternator, if so what and if not how easy are they to replace???
bit pricy though ???

Hi mate,
Won't the one from the red Mk2 GTI fit, at least to try it?
Might just be the diode pack/brushes are gone, 2 screws to replace.........about ?10.

Right think I've fixed it. I don't know, I change one think in the root of the address and it f***s up everything else. I hate computers. >:( >:(
