Title: My sunroof won't open - Help!
Post by: acko on 23 April 2005, 16:39
Hey guys/gals

Came to open my sunroof for the first time in ages the other day to tae advantage of the suns most welcome rays  and it won't budge!  I haven't opended it for ages because I have had no need. It seems to move a bit but I try and force the handle and it does not open. I don't want to give it too much force incase I snap the handle. Has anyone ever encountered this problem before? What can I do?

Cheers,

Acko

No biggies, got it sorted  just needed a bit of pushing from on top to get it to unstick, think it must have just seized from not being used. Its always sat slightly lower on one side too and leaked a bit under heavy rain so its time for a new seal and adjustment to make it sit nice again, while I'm at it I can derust and respray my deflector from its current manky state! more jobs, the list goes on and on.....

buy a can of silicone spray and do the runners whilst your at it and I open my roof every now and then just to keep it movin'!
the list of jobs gets longer and the time and money get less!
