now you've made the 'leap' you won't look back; I've had Vauxhalls, Fords, Peugeots, Citroens and wouldn't have anything other than a VAG car now - I LOVE my Golf!

Colt looked tidy.. My missus always wanted one of those as her first car, silly girl got a KA instead.

Golf looks like a great car to play with, even if you don't do anything for a while I'm sure you'll enjoy it just as it is.

Yeah we're not bad bunch here.

When you say break the colt do you mean the bods or all of it!...

Yeah it's quite a bit different, decent TD vs decent revvy motors.  My daily is a TD and the mk1 is, well a mk1...  they are quite similar speed wise but always have to adapt when you climb out of one to get in the other.

Break as in sell after market parts
Fairly well spec'd car tbf , Rota Gt-3s, Apex suspension, Cusco struts upper front/Rear lower rear, OBX stainless steel 4-2-1, 2.5" decat, Magnaflow back box, Fully machine matched and ported inlet manifold to addapt the Evo 63mm tb ... etc etc

Aye Couldnt sacrifice  leaving the petrol scene and going to diesel but the 180 seems to be upto the job so far

Was going to say!... bit harsh to break the whole car, looked alright.

Good spec, I take it you're going to sell the car after its been put back to standard then.

Yeah 180 in a TD is plenty and more can be had if you ever got bored of it...  It's the early gear changes that get me and the luxury of hardly having to change down as they will happily pull in any speed in any gear.
