Title: mk2 16v gear box mounting

Hi there, I have just purchased a new gear box mounting for my gti 16v,
How hard are these 2 change, Can i do it on my own on my drive with general tools,  :wink:

Not hard at all, you will have to unbolt the subframe on the passenger side though and wedge a crow bar in to pull it down whilst jacking up the gearbox, it will make sense as you do it. There is a guide that ben lessani did, I will find it for youze

I done it mate, But thanx 4 your answer, :wink:
I stuck this question on the mk2 owners club in gearbox section and someone told me i could do it by just jacking gearbox up, And it would lift out gap, After an hour hittin it with hammer and gettin it stuck an smoshin me knuckles, I decided 2 drop subframe and got my neighbour out with crowbar an finished the job,  :cool:
