IVE GOT A 16V GOLF GTI AND IT HAS A FOAM BOOT COVERING THE ARCH AREA IN THE BOOT. WAS THIS STANDARD IN A 16V AS I HAVE SEEN AN 8V WITH ACTUAL CARPET WHICH I THINK LOOKS BETTER OR WAS THIS AN OPTION UPON ORDERING THE CAR NEW?
THANKS

it was the later ones that got the foam type lining and the earlier ones that got the carpet, i think. i like the way the foam stays in shape but agree the carpet looks good to, it just can fall down and get abit messy when it gets a bit old.
