Can anyone shed some light on which ones to buy if these are even the right ones lol
Just got standard MontyII alloys atm with no plan on changing due to insurance company
Which ones would look best and which one is the best lol
Thanks
UPDATE:
The other ones i was looking at were not the right size ones (width ways lol)
So just spoke to a couple of companies and now i have found fk ones from venom for both sets for £117 or H&R ones for £124
So question is which is better?
FK or H&R?
Cheers
EDIT: Just ordered a set of rear ones so just 5mm for front i need? Anyone know best place to get them?
-
as long as there 5x100 and 57.1 bore (2nd and 3rd set )

You can run different sizes front and rear

You can run them just on the rear if you wish.
-
Will it a. Not look stupid? And b. Affect handling?
Was think maybe 15 front and back? So 30mm or would 10pm either side be better?
-
Measure your wheel to arch gap and then buy spacers accordingly to make them sit flush
(dont go so far that the tyre tread protrudes from arch or you will fail MOT :afro:)
-
Will do that tomo :)
:afro:
-
Just measured my wheel arches and reckon i could get away with 20mm either side however im thinking just in case 10-15 either side and i will be happy.
Does anyone know the difference between these 2? Both have the same DR16mm so guessing thats 16 either side? The only difference i can see is that the first one say min ofset 13?

Your wheel will have an offset of probably 35 so i wouldnt worry to much about that.
Someone will know more than me though
-
20mm on rear will be fine
but not on front unless u fancy shredded tyres on arch
-
Thats y I was going to go for 15 or 16mm in the links above. Think thst will be too much?
-
id say so mate will scrub on front for sure i have 5mm on front to clear coilies id say ud get away with 8/10 without scrubbing unless u get arches rolled

Ok cool. Cheers for your guys will have a think over weekend
-
Just measured it up again this time front and back lol
They are different never knew that lol :embarassed:
So now im going to go for 16mm either side on rear and 5-10mm on front prob go 5mm.
Once i get them fitted im guessing it would be wise to get them aligned?
Will 16 on rear and 5 on front be ok?
:undecided: :undecided: :undecided:
edit: sorry going back to the 16mm ones? Do i order the cheaper ones which say min offset 13 or do i have to go for the slighty more expensive ones which dont mention offset or will it make no difference lol
-
as the front is already 10mm more than the back as standard on the mk4 i have gone for 5mm on the front and 15mm on the back thus bringing the rear inline with the front but still sat at a nice stance and legal lol but wheel is just inside the arch so looks pretty much what i was after so many choices mate good luck im sure what ever you get will look fab
-
Back to the top

Haven't read all the thread so not sure if it's of use but I've got 8.5j wheels 215/35 Tyres, final et of 20 on the front and they did catch the arch lip at times, rolled the arches now and have no issues at all. Rears are the same et with no probs.
They are 19'' wheels.
-
Have you decided on sizes yet, they are both reasonably expensive!

tell me about it lol
Defo going with 15 either side on rear and 5mm on front. Want hubcentric ones as ive heard bad reviews of the normal wheel spacers. But they do work out alot more expensive
-
Got 20mm FK Hubcentric Spacers here they bolt to the hub then you bolt your wheels to the spacers. £45 posted.
-
Then get some 5mm ones with correct bore size for 15 posted off ebay and your done for half price! :afro:

Venom or ebay is your best bet.
