Won the RAF novice lead category today at the RAF climbing champs, well pleased with my self! Haven't gotten to out door climbing yet but will do soon! Anyone on here a indoor/outdoor climber and where do you climb?

Congrats...
I used to go to a couple of local indoor Walls. One of which is in a school and they had an old, short corridor that was no longer used so turned it into a bouldering wall which was cool cos the holds started on the wall and went onto the ceiling etc... Haven't been for aaaaages though as I bust my ankle and never got back in to it!

Well done!
What grade routes were you leading?

I climbed some stairs today.....

I wasn't expecting it! Broke the end joint of my middle finger about 8weeks ago and still hurts like hell when climbing!
The routes there were 5a-6a+. I only entered the novice because of my injury and the fact I haven't done any training let alone climbing for over 8 weeks! Normally leading 6b - 6c+. Only been climbing about a year or so!
I won a load of quick draws and beenas so going to hit out the outdoor crags soon! Anyone recommend any good outdoor routes?

Anyone recommend any good outdoor routes?
When I was in Sheffield, I used to climb out in the Peak District. Stannage and Burbage are popular places with a variety of routes. There are loads of guides available. If your experience of leading is all inside, I'd recommend going outside with someone who is experienced and can show you how to set up top ropes and to place gear etc. It's a long way down to some sharp stuff when you hit the crags!
Respect for leading anything starting with a 6 after 12 months though
