As per title, looking for opinions on these headlights?

I'd disable the angel eye rings if I were to buy them, they will be going on my Mk4:

you can get depo lights without the nasty angel eyes..... I've got black ones on mine :cool:
so look around rather than buying those with the angel eyes if you dont want them.

yes, i'm talking about projectors.... you can get them in black or 'r32 look' chrome, without the gash angel eyes

If you where to disable the halos you wouldn't have a side light.. Which you have to have. You can buy depo projectors with out halos.

well.... as far as i know and have seen Depo do black or chrome, projectors or not, halos or not..... there's no inbetween.... the ones you linked to are chrome but says black in the ad which is poor.
if you want an inbetween colour then buy some, split them and mod them yourself!

Looks to me as if the strip along the bottom of the lights is black :undecided:
Do they not look darker along the bottom in comparison to these?

they do but I think its the pic, they also look yellow and nasty to me, like they've been in a lake for a few years.... email them and ask but pretty sure the response you'll get is black or chrome!

You could always buy the chrome ones, remove the lenses, spray the bits you want black, stick back together like bricey did with his standard ones..

Yeah I've joey modded a few sets of MK3 headlights, I'm just a bit reluctant to try & split a set of brand new £100+ lights, I've read some horror stories about trying to get them apart :undecided:

Ok, had 2 replies from them:
1. "hi, the inner surround,
br paul"
2. "The main beam reflector is chrome. and there is a ring around the projector lens that is chrome. The rest is black. difficult to tell from the photo. Looks more chrome when there is.

I'm assuming that this means that they are in fact black like GunnerCP said and it's a very poor photo :smiley:

Am I imagining it or have I seen a mk4 headlight with 3 projectors in, ie one for high beam and low and fog!? or would this be a homemade jobby or is anyone awhere of a company that make them?

projectors focus the light better, reducing glare. can be used with normal bulbs too

any normal bulbs I've seen in projectors give really poor light output :undecided:
