woo hoo.....just got them back and they look awesome so I thought I'd post a thread!

here they are before rebuilding.....im doing this tonight! great.

what you think?

does anyone know the correct torque setting for the RS bolts? As I have read that it should be 40 lb/ft but I sanpped a bolt doing this....it seems far to tight (considering RM's should be torqued to 14-16 lb/ft)

yeah they look f**kin sweet!!! i just did mine up as tight as i felt they should be but managed to snap one of my bolts as well!!!

thanks for all the positive feedback everyone. As I am unsure of the correct torque settings (and Id rather get it right the first time!) i havent been able to get them up and running this weekend. So fingers crossed next weekend they'll be all together with tyres and on me car! Will post pics as soon as they are on and finished..... :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin:

they look ace mate. have you tried getting in touch with bbs direct? they'll tell you the torue settings.

awesome wheels :cool:

all the torque settings are on vwvortex, you dont do the rm bolts up as tight because they thread into the wheel, not a bolt on the other side, so you will strip the alloy threads really easy. if your snapping bolts its because you need new ones!
