Title: Newbie from Scotland. New Mk3 Project.
Post by: Gti_Jamo on 19 September 2011, 19:41
Hi guys newbie here from Auchterarder in Scotland. Currently run a 2002 Leon Cupra 1.8t and have now recently aquired a 1997 More Door Gti 2.0 8v. Its needs a fair bit of work but has been sitting off the road for over two years. 80,000 miles, full service history, electric windows, sunroof, remote central locking. Was an absolute bargain at £235!!

Anyway, as I said it needs alot. Has some usual Mk3 rot but it confined to only the OS sill and all four arches so i'm going to replace both wings, new sill and two new rear arch panels.

Rest of the bodywork is mint and the car in general is in really good condition. There is water gathering under the carpets so going to strip out the interior tommorow.

Thats me and my car anyway. Will prob do a build thread as I have a few plans for it!!

Thanks, yes indeed it is but thankfully its confined to the outer sill and the inner is solid. Will have that fixed up in no time!!
