Title: mk5 gti sat nav upgrade ?

A mate has just wrote off his 56plate r32 ....he's kindly offered me his factory sat nav stereo unit in exchange for the set in my  06 mk5 gti. i realise i will need a gps antenna but will that be all ? has anyone else done this upgrade with any succsess ?

did a search but couldnt find anything

Dead easy - it just plus in - you'll find a GPS antenna on ebay, when you get it just stick it under the air con grill in the top of your dash.

This is how to remove the old radio, if you look about half way down the post you see that the grill comes off first: http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=40928.0
