I think i remember asking but never got round to sorting one out and its nearly time for the winter car to take over the daily grind.

It belonged to FroGTi, Froggy, who has a dozen kids, a very sexy wife and who bought himself a Mazda, then a Jag. Something like that. Notice the Interlagos wheels peeping out.

Arr i wonder if he still has the cover :undecided:

His MX5 will be like a prick in a shirt sleeve in that cover

Or like throwing a banana down Oxford Street.
Froggy lives in France and he's probably sold the sheath with his GTI.

You should see the house. Simply beautiful. Miss him on here. Ah, those were the days.

If it's for indoor use, I have one of these for my Mk2 http://www.coveryourcar.co.uk/sahara.htm

Yes for indoor use, I have indoor storage.
Are they any good?
As i may get one for the Elf too.

It's spot on. It dosn't look as tailored as the one in the original post, but it covers the car right down to the floor, keeps the dust off and has even withstood some light items been put on in without leaving so much of a mark underneath.

I also have one of these for my Mk2
Got a different micro fibre one for the Mk5 which is a tighter fitter and slightly better quality, I will try to find where that one came from.

Form fit indoor covers are from here, but at a premium price I would imagine

that cover looks quaility how much?

^ Nice covers.
I like the idea of a car cover if your garaging your car or its sitting on your drive for a period of time. But as I use my car daily I really couldn't be bothered faffing around with a cover everyday.
-
My biggest worry would be a tiny piece of grit either gets inside the cover or is on the car. Can you imagine the damage that would do with such a tight fitting cover?
I must admit, they do look great though.
Steven.

I'd agree 100% with that.
Mind you my garage is so small I would only be able to cover half of the car as the other half is tight up against the wall! If the mk7 is any wider than the mk6, as has been widely reported, there's not much chance of getting one in my tiddly orifice!!!

Put the cover on only after you have washed and waxed it!

Also, make sure you roll the cover up with it's inside facing in when it's not on the car. Don't put it on the floor etc. I'm paranoid about picking up a bit of grit with it.
