Title: 1.8t in mk1 temp

i have a mk1 with a agu 1.8t and its all running with a mk1 gti rad and big fan . ive wired the temp gauge in and it always seems to read over half way on the gauge and seen on the internet you need some sort of converter to make it read accurately . as its probably not right , any ideas?

Mine sits at 90 / half way all the time.
