Im debating weather or not to ditch my colour coded bumper slates on the front bumper of my MK4 Golf, and replace all 3 with the same OEM VW slates but colour code them black. No the dull plastic black, but have them properly sprayed up. What do you reckon?
Heres a pic of my dub:

only thing with doing that is when they spray the pastic it is never as great as from the factory and after a while people start getting flaking bits which doens't look good IMO

at the moment my 3 grille slats are painted the same colour as my car and they are not flaking. no signs of flaking either. Im just thinking maybe stock black or painted black slats might look a lil better?

Hmmm I like Chrome too lol anything shinny hey!
No I think teh black would look good, as long as teh paint is ok

i might aswell try it as the new grill slats only come to £18 from VW, and paint shudnt be too much. My mate will spray it up like he did the last set of grille slats so they wont flake. I think black would look quite cool, coz my car is dark and has a black headlights and tints.

i think she meant black would match the headlights and tints, not your car. i think black bits would look pretty good too, breaks it up a bit maybe. loved the smoothed off bumper as well!
