Hey VW owners, I have just recently purchased a Mk5 Golf GTI. Having considered my options I have decided to go for a Performance filter the link to the filter can be seen below this:

Can anyone suggest a alternative?, is their is anything better out there? Would appreciate your help thanks
Amir.

I fitted one to my ed 30 and it ran worse than std!
This was confirmed with VCDS - it showed lower MAF g/s readings.
Ended up with just a K&N panel filter.

Hi, I am probably going to go for the K&N then! Many thanks for your help

Same here, not had any problems with mine and its been fitted for over 2 years now. It is however, not the best induction kit. Youll struggle to make any proper gains but it sounds and looks nice. It is quiet a bit cheaper though and doesn't require any modifications to your engine cover.
The best induction kit (in my book) is the Forge Twin-Take system - http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/content.asp?inc=product&cat=190203&product=FMIND12
