I am in the Midlands.. :undecided: Not many remappers doing old skool chip tuning any more. Have you tried JKM?
-
Could try jkm, they said they would do a wur mod for me, but I think they are more into the modern stuff, wouldn't do remap my megasquirt for me.
-
I would not bother tbh, will make little difference.

Vr6 mapping not worth it?
-
I've never read anyone being disappointed with one, maps out any flat spots etc

Vr6 mapping not worth it?
It makes a difference but the gains against money spent to me makes little or no sense. :undecided:

VR6 lumps are well worth mapping, you need to remember its not all about the peak power numbers it about the whole power curve with an NA engime. Just by having another 4bhp over the whole rpm range will transform the performance, plus just by having an extra 300rpm on the limiter with make the car feel more alive.. Before the 1.8T 20Vs came along the chipping marketwas all about the VR6.
I have many VR6 customers who feel the software remap was well worth the money.

If your ok travelling we, along with any of the Forum Traders here can chiptune your car, we also offer a mobile service please PM for a quote on that or if you can live without your car for a few days why not post your ECU over to any of the official forum remap specialists that can chiptune.
The official traders that chiptune her are:
(in alphabetical order)
www.carbon-chiptuning.co.uk
www.premiertuning.com
www.r-techpower.co.uk
Or if Rhyso @ Kinetic would like to remove your ECU and bring it up for some chiptuning training try:
www.kinetictuning.co.uk
You'll find remapping your VR6 is most worthwhile and will make very substantial gains in drivability over the original ECU software.
Best of luck with it and I'm sure that whoever you get to remap her you'll be very pleased with the results

Lots of people with NA cars are enquiring about the benefits of mapping
I've done a few now and they are some of the happiest people
Sharper throttle, bit more mid range, inherent flat spots removed and better fuel economy!! What's not to like?
Certainly cheaper than changing your car and keeps the tuning industry in business
