I asked this a while back and I was told the wheels from an A4 wouldn't fit. Apparently the fit for an Audi is 112 and the VW is 110.
The guy on here "Dudfather" was very helpful

a vr6 hub is 5x100 and i think an audi 200 is 4x112.
do not think there is an adaptor for this but don't quote me
-
ive found out the audi hub is 5x112, is there any adaptors that will fit, and any pointers in where to gettin them from

Hi, i think advanced autosport technologies do the adaptors for 5x100 to 5x112 number is 01543306681 never used them but got a flyer from them once!
let me know how you get on as i have got some audi a8 wheels in the garage that i may be fitting to my mk3 or selling if my next set of wheels dont look right! :undecided: :undecided: :undecided: :undecided: :undecided:

Lets clear up a bit of confusion here....
The PCD on the golf 3 VR6 is 5x100, the PCD on the Audi 200 is 5x112.
The offset on both are near enough the same.
It is possible to make/buy an adaptor that converts 5x100 to 5x112 BUT to allow room for the bolts to fit in the adaptor will be 20mm+ thick. This will obviously push the wheels further out in the wheel arch by 20mm+. If you want to go for the fatter EURO look then this is good but it may cause the wheels to rub. The other issue is caliper clearance but the 20mm+ thick adaptors should negate this problem.
