yet again, i went to town with the mrs yesterday, and got back to the mk2 only to find som careless w*nker has scuffed my rear quarter again. so now i need
a new door
work doing to the rear wing
rear panel needs work
dings need sorting in the other door
all because off idiots in car parks! Really p*sses me off. i was moaning all night yesterday and the mrs didnt seem bothered, so thought id share my misery with some people who might care
-
Care???? On here??????
Think you're on the wrong forum matey.
-
Have you asked if theyve got CCTV in the car park?
It the same in supermarket carparks..... you park in the empty part, miles away from the store & you come back to find it's still empty BUT you have some "bell end" has parked right next to you - so much so you struggle to open the door!!
These people should be stoned!?
-
Indeed car parks are the worst for dents appearing, i always try avoid parking next to peoples cars who obviously have kids are they are the main culprits for door dents !
-
whats worse (or maybe better) is when you are sat in your car on your phone or whatever and some dick does it right in front of you, but not knowing your there just carrys on as if nothing happened!
never happened to me thankfully but I've seen it happen and have some mates who its happened to as well
-

Don't tar everyone with the same brush. I have 3 kids and i'm very careful.
The worst culprits are company car drivers IMO, they just don't give a sh!t.
-
Have to say I tend to park as far away from the entrance as pos too :lipsrsealed:
A few months back I'd borrowed the old dears car (fortunately just a beaten up 306). Lady opens her door straight into the side of car while I'm sitting in it. Makes the whole damn car shake and the stupid bint couldn't understand why I got out irate, just tried to brush it off
Another one is people who lean on your damn car too. Is it a sofa? More to the point is it yours? No? F*ck off then!
-
These people should be stoned!?
think they are already some of the things ive seen.
woman yesterday reverse parking between two cars. ended up with the line down the middle of the car and whole passenger side of her bumper contact with drivers side of the parjed cars bumper
-
thats why when i go 2 tesco i always park in mum and kids or the disalbled spaces because no one owns the car parks so you cant get a ticket  :smug:

If the supermarkets provided more parent and child spaces instead of giving most of the wide spaces to the "disabled" it would help us parents out a bit too
-

I f**king hate people like you when I go shopping.
-
fare enough parent and child ive parked in them once or twice when nipping into morrisons or somewere, but disabled ide never do. i hate people who havent got diabilities and park in them. i could park in them easily as someone left a disabled badge in my car when i bought it. but the fact im not disabled and can quite easily walk the extra 20 meters.
last time i saw someone park in a disabled spot who wasnt disabled i gave a right earfull too.
-
Doesn't matter, it's still taking away a space from someone who could use it better than you. Unless you have kids you wont appreciate how difficult it is to go shopping and how helpful those wide bays are.
-
The problem with parent and child parking is its by the entrance usually, so this encourages lazy f**k*rs without kids to park there.
Place them further away from the entrance and people don't bother.
-
That's the whole point of having them, most car Parks don't have walkways so the less distance you've got to walk with kids the better
-

No most supermarkets for example do have walkways, and the point of them is wider spaces make it much easier. Its not so people don't have to walk as far.

-
How rude, tell me where you park your car so i can bring up my company van, and open my door hard into it
-
none of the supermarkets here have walkways. Yes it makes it easier. Easier to get kids in/out. If you don't have kids you don't need this so why do people feel the need to park in them? Like you say, laziness. Sorry for the rant it just really pisses me off. I don't park in the parents spaces when I haven't got the kids with me. My kids aren't out of control thanks it's just that an 8 month old isn't easy to get in/out of the seat
-
were to go with this, lol
the supermarket i use has a walk way right through the middle of car park, childrens parking on one side, diasbled on the other, but most supermarkets have far more disabled parking then needed and need more parent parking, and having 2 kids myself, and driving a 3 door, it does make it easier as yo can get the pram off the road
i once went shopping late one afternoon, pulled in a bayno cars near me, supermarket dead, came out to somebody parking so close to my car i had to climb into the passenger side, even though there was still another 100+ empty bays to park in - pointless!

Im suprised how many idiots there are out there that do this! Went to BnQ the other day. Got back to the car and a people carrier was about 10 inches from my door! I dont understand why they do it, it makes it harder for them to get out!
-
but most supermarkets have far more disabled parking then needed and need more parent parking
:afro:
-
cheers guys, lol, just to add, it was also a people carrier that was really close to my car, not only did i have to climb over, but ihad to reverse out of the bay to put my son into his car seat as well, hence i was blocking the lane, sorry guys, not my fault
-
At the morrisons near me theres about 10disabledbays. and abbout 50 parent and child. aandnormally only the first 10 parent and child are in use. only tines ive used it is when going to pick my mam up. and ive always parked near the end. partlycause theres noone around my car to hit it. partly so peiple with kiids can use the 20odd free spaces.before me
-
I hate c*nts that park in parent and child. There's a good reason why they are wide. When you attempt to unclip a base or get your child out the car seat, the door is open to full swing open and on a 3 door car the doors are even longer, no way can this be done with the door slightly open. I find it a piss take when people with older kids use them as well, as they are perfectly able to get out and walk. Why waste a space for someone who could need it, the amount off twits that do this is incredible, especially when you're on your own struggling with your baby and buggy in a KA. Some car Parks like my local Morrison's have started monitoring spaces due to p!sstakers, the security really give the a$$holes grief and I have seen fines and notice stickers on some cars.
But I do agree about most car Parks have far too much disabled spaces, Bluewater shopping centre had more disabled spaces than the whole of Europe.ff twits that do this is incredible, especially when you're on your own struggling with your baby and buggy in a KA. I hardly ever use the child & parent parking because it's usually full of 2 seater convertible sports cars without child seats
-
Another one is people who lean on your damn car too. Is it a sofa? More to the point is it yours? No? F*ck off then!
I came back to my car and saw someone leaning on it whilst chatting to his mate. It's rude and disrespectful.
-
theres no disabled parking spaces in our morissons just normal spaces and parent child ones are they being a bit discriminating then
-

forgot to mention this, a few weeks ago when i was still living in the flat, i saw 2 guys working on their car from another block, one was leaning on my car, he moved as i went to my car to get something, didnt even apoligise, when i went back to the flat, looked at the window, he was leaning against my car again... ye like i gave him permission to the first f**king time, he was wearing jeans i may add which i hate when near my car, i rarely lean against my own car
mini rant over
-
hate that mate last time someone did that to me he almost had my bricking trowel in his eye he soon got the message and got off
-
its the people who cant put it between the painted lines that get me, so when its busy they are taking up 2 spaces... until i pull up in my £200 93' seat ibiza and park right next the thingys and then get out the other side

The store I work in has 4 disabled bays that are about 20 yard away from the main entrance, 2 bays each side of the door. The other day it was pi$$ing down and there was a woman in a Jag that parked in a way that took up 2 disabled spaces and she was going to a store next door. About 2 mins later a disabled car turns up and a man walks up to me and tells me about the situation, I apologised to him and offered my help with any of their shopping etc if they park in the normal bay. I was really embarrased about the situation so decided to use the store's secret weapon. The disabled bays have automatic bollards that come up if we arm the anti-raid alarm on the store so of I went to arm the alarm and wauted for the woman to come in to the store and being annoyed, she did and I told her that I will unlock the bollards if she apologises to the disabled people that she took the space from, she threatened me with police and all that so I told her "be my guest" it's private land and I can do as I please, she rang the police and they told her to pi$$ off...never saw anyone more embarrased then her when she went to apologise to the disabled people...

I always make the effort to park over the other side of car parks where it is empty, but as said by a few people there's always some twit who has to park next to you even though there are 50 odd spaces free.
I actually left a note on someones car the other day giving them sh1t loads of abuse as they parked so close to me I could barely walk down the side of my car. Oh well made me feel better at the time
-
I always find it amazing that it doesn't matter how far away you park from the other cars, you always come back to a car parked next to yours
When I go to the supermarket or pretty much anywhere were there's a decent sized carpark I always park well out the way of the other cars even meaning I have quite a walk to the supermarket but Im willing to do that to keep my car from getting "carpark injurys" but when I come back to the the car there's always a car right next to mine. And 9 times out of 10 its a old banger thats parked up next to my car so I just dont get it? :undecided:
I once actually witnessed a vile woman with her brat child. Now Im not saying all children are like this, before anyones says anything. But I saw a women and her little boy getting into her car. She was driving a P-reg astra, quite tatty looking and her kid was getting in the back door. He opened the door and hit the car next to him, not once, not twice but 3 times. The mother did nothing. She saw what had happened but didn't batter an eye lid. The car he hit was a 2007 Range Rover sport. I had to say something so I did, the reply I got from the b!tch was " Well by the car they look like they can afford to get it touched up"
I could of choked the b!tch but instead I took her reg down and informed the Range Rovers owner.
-

Well done for suppressing the murderous rage and doing the "right" thing.
I don't mind if it's an accident, they happen. But I do hate is carelessness coupled with a wanton disregard for anyone else or their property. If I go to jail it will be for beating some one to death with their own shoes for something similar to the above.

I love parking in the child bays. I prefer to park in the drop off points though, so much closer and even more door room.

love this thread as it's so true.
I work in morrisons, we have about 20 disabled bays and 20 kids bays. The other day an old couple parked in the child bay and some women chased them and started yelling at them. The old lady (who couldn't walk as her leg wa sin platers) got pissed off and completly owned the woman for speaking like that in front of her children etc.
I admit, i wait in disabled bays, child bays and bus spaces. I know it's wrong cos i'm only there for 2 mins but as other people have pointed out, there are some c$nts out there who have no problem damaging cars. I love my car and don't want to spend £200 getting a panel re done (which i've already done once) cos some tw%t has hit the car.
Also those people who park next to you when you park in the middle of nowhere are doing to protect their car but they always seem to park like complete tw%ts and ruin the whole point of safety in numbers.
Basically the car park is a small battlezone no matter where it is lol

best post i've read on the net in a long time, if i wasn't about to be made redundant on friday i'd send you a beer in the post
so that means by estimation the only good people in the whole of the uk frequent golfgtiforum.co.uk
people parking in disabled bays makes me soo angry. Me and my brother had words with someone about this when we were in our late teens. asked him why he parked there not even rudely. "fudge the cripples and 'tards. they derserve it." was chaps response. We said, well nothing actually. But i think our point was made :smug: :embarassed:
I'm a parent, and i've never opened the door into anyones car, if its that tight i'll look for another one.
Always park next to something modified as it might be a heap of crap corsa, but the owner probably likes it/ or its a corsa its so pov spec you HAVE to modify it to make it worth driving.

Start taking photos of car park c*nts like I do and we can start a new section.....
I think it's got a lot more to do with where you park the who you park next to, case in point is that my wife has produced mono fewer than 3 car park dents this year and have produced none in my whole life.
I always park as far away from other cars as possible and if I have to park by other cars I try to get on the end of a row so that only one side is open to damage.
I've got a few pics on my iPhone of car park c*unts I'll post up later, best one was when my wife parked at a supermarket in my mk6 and came back to a dinged door, I went up and took pics etc and when the other driver came back ( who's door edge matched the ding 100% ) she denied it claiming she'd never done that in her life but the edge of her door protector was wrecked clearly due to door opening mishaps, c*nts they are all right
-
I recently came back and found damage on my door that matched the next car.
In these situations i usually act in a very childish way :lipsrsealed:
-
My brother acts like that a bit, he kicked the hell out of a car next to him that opened a door into his car.
-

Not saying that's how i might behave, however its very frustrating when someone clearly doesn't give a sh!t about your property.
For example, there are other places to park, but just to save a couple of yards walking, they will squeeze right next to your car knowing full well that they can't get out without smacking the car next to them
