Title: steering wheel issues

Morning guys, changed over my mk3 golf gti steering wheel as it wasnt in very nice condition yesterday. air bag light went out and thought all is good. horns worked great. tried the idactors and hazzard lights and if i indacate left the left inner head light comes on and stays on????????
checked the fuses and they are all good. the idacator stalk can only go back one way so nothing crossed there!  Any one got any ideas??

Does it happen with the ignition on?
