Afternoon,
Just bought my first mk3 as a runabout, I have had a few Mk2 so I know a bit about VWs, but I have a few problems...
Its a 2.0 8v GTi, on a K plate so a pretty early car, 60k on the clock (verified)
Sunroof: the sunroof is jamming open, the motors and switches seem ok so its the mechcanism thats screwed; are these easy to change? is it worth trying to fix the existing one?
Diagnostic port: I have read all the posts saying that the port is behind a sliding flap next to the ashtray, well its definately not there on mine, has anyone found the port anywhere else?
I assume this car will be OBD rather than OBD2 so is there a cable I can get to run VAG COM or is it a gunson's flashing reader job?
Finally in the boot there is a padded box in the corner with all sorts of wires coming out, what the hell is this for?
