not on a golf but on a passat, but same engine so thought id put in here where people in the know will see it
need to know if the injectors are coded to the ecu or if i can just plug and play injectors on new engine? is anything else coded or need renewing (besides timing belt) while the engines out
anyone done a swap on a passat, looks like a straight forward job but asking if anyone knows of anything i need to know? specialist tools needed?
thanks

the new ECU should work it out - you might need to adjust the injection timing once the new belt is on.
might as well do the water pump and thermostat while you're there too.
depending on your budget look at changing the clutch.
it's worth taking not of which bolts you need to change too.
if i think of anthing more i'll let ya know
