im thinking about getting some body work done to the car and was wondering about the cost of getting the passenger door done first as its the worst part of the car. it needs dings and dents sorted, then just painting.
anyone had it done or know of a general price??

Prices can vary depending where you go, but as a rule, you get what you pay for.
My previous car had a poorly repaired passenger door. I got a straight, rust free replacement door with a view to having that repainted and fitted. We then found rust on the rear wheel arch, so that needed attending to as well by cutting it out and welding it a repair panel. The whole of that side was then painted, and to be fair was bang on.
I seem to remember paying in the region of £350 for that.

ahh nice, well the previous owner of my mk2 put a scuff on the side, from just before the rear wheel arch to about 2-3 inches past the passenger door, it is dented aswell. its started rusting now so will get some crust on there, but want it sorted properly. i was thinking it would be in the region of £300 ish. but as you say, ive seen pretti perfect doors advertised before for about £30

If you can find a good straight door, it'll save a whole heap of repair work.
