Hi my 115bhp Gt tdi sometimes when im driving just cuts out as in engine just dies.I then just put my foot on the gas and it starts after about 20 seconds of holding the key turned once its started its fine.I have just changed the EGR valve as we thought it was that but it done it again today once it started is was fine.My friend is now saying it could be a sticking solanoid. Its going on the laptop monday see if theres any error codes etc but just curious if anyone else has had a simlar problem of than that the cars spot thanks..

Right a update after having a complete nightmare with this car with it cutting out regular its finally sorted. The problem turned out to be a easy fix my garage that I use installed a clear fuel line from the fuel filter to check for air when the car cuts out.Turned out there was loads of air in the system why the car was cutting out anyway they then went straight to the fuel pump the one in the boot which the lad then spotted the fuel lines were the wrong way round  anyway they swapped them to correct way and shes cooking on gas powers back and the cars driving fine which has now intalled faith again in mk4s :D thanks..

Glad you're sorted now Blu Mate. I have had 2 Mark 4's and not really took to them after the Mark 3's. Sure it will grow on you as time wears on. I love my Bora now and it's basically a Mark 4. Anyway if you're ever stuck I have a fault code reader Buddy
