all the products used for the golf
the cheap simoniz shampoo is a winter shampoo, i use it if its cold outside and it needs a quick wash
(http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p130/loopylou1986_photo/allgolf.jpg)
all the products used for the show car only, non of these have even been used yet as the car still isnt finished, all are meguiars
(http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p130/loopylou1986_photo/allcorsa.jpg)
all the megs products i have (more to come when i can afford it) most of these havnt even been used, i just buy them because i like them, im not even going to add up how much its cost me :/
(http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p130/loopylou1986_photo/allmegs.jpg)
all this is still only part of all the stuff i have to clean my cars, things i havnt took pics of, the pressure washer, 3 buckets, 2 more wash noodles, more chamais's, more microfibres, metal polish, my 'science' kit for mixing my own stuff/the stuff ive mixed and the stuff for the gfs car as well
my question, anything im missing or need? (i know i need an application block for the endurance)
cheers ta, thanks very moochos

Various brushes and a wheel wax. Megs must love you - is there any of their products you don't have?!
-
something else i forgot to take a pic of, lol, all the small brushes and cotton buds i have for the introgate areas
wheel wax, yes, for the show car, the alloys are painted white, never seen seen tarmac, only the garage floor  so theyre still in mint condition
and yes, a big meguiars fan
-
Any wax?
-
you sponsored by meguairs ??
you have a good collection but would chuck away all the simoniz stuff.. im currently using chemical guys shampoo which is very good and a very good price and you only need a small bit
Get a decent wax as the Techwax stuff is rubbish get something like collinite 845 for winter.. and a dodojuice supernatural hybrid for summer
Also get poorboys wheel sealant saves loads of time when cleaning the wheels
HTH

nice one, will look into these, simoniz i use as i find it cheap for the not so important areas, like foam cleaning upholstery, tyre back to black (not got any atm) and dash shine, as well as using a cheap winter shampoo
waxes is a tough one, i have turtle wax as a paste form, and megs nxt gen spray wax in well, spray form, i cant get on with paste waxes, i keep eyeing up the dodo waxes but i know i would get frustrated with them as i find paste annoying to work with, i waxed a mates car for him earlier with his dodo orange crush and didnt like it at all, although smells really nice
cheers

Cheap shampoo is loaded with water and foaming agents, try a ph netural one. Cheap tyre dressing are rubbish and don't last. Don't make your dash too shiny it will refect badly in the sun.
DJ waxes are good as long as you apply them thinly and allow them to cure. They do give very good results and durability.

what shampoos are ph neutral?
ive also tried the AG tyre shine on my mates car, but as that was a spray, its very weak, it ran straight off the wheels, gave it a shine, but only for the day, with the tyres going back to their awful state, in halfords, most of the tyre shines look cheap that wont last long, i find the simoniz stays until i next clean the car, as i run my finger on the tyre, the product is still there
i prefer liquid waxes, im eyeing up the megs step 3 carnauba wax atm?
cheers again

i have megs tyre shine and apply with a tyre foam pad and it lasts me fine...
move away from megs and look at other stuff not supplied from halfords mate you can get them for same money but last longer and better for your car dont get me wrong i have megs stuff but also have loads of other makes.. try glossworkz by chemical guys that is a PH neutral shampoo and has gloss enhancers so the paint looks better
And for interior i use G101 which is sooooooooo much cheaper than megs and probably simoniz as 5 litres i can dilute to 25 litres !... if i dont use G101 i have megs interior quick detailer and find it great and not glossy or siliconey...
-
As above Glossworkz or Bilt Hamber Autowash.
G101 or Bio Bro Brisk are both good for the interior
If you want a nice natural look then try Zaino Z16 tyre dressing.
If you ever need a hand Tazzy just give me shout I'm in Brum as well.
-
you appear to be doubling up on a lot of product here...
although it might seem more expensive try buying your products from a specialist like waxamomo as you will find better products at cheaper prices, more effective and you'll be able to dilute in the same manner that you're bilberry works.
spending £££ in Halfords is not the way to build up a detailing collection

tech, i also have the endurance but saved for the corsa, ive heard good things about it, the megs insane tire shine that im currently using im also finding a really good product, better than the simoniz i usually use
dragonfly, nice one, where abouts you from? im in tile cross, so feel free to pop round when ever you want for a cuppa and to wash the cars  just watched a video of the z16, that looks really good, does waxamomo have it in stock?
guy, yes, i see your point, i do have a thing for buying more than one product for the same job, partly its down to having items for either car (the stuff for the corsa stays in the corsa where it is stored so i cant access it to use) also down to that i wont use my/better stuff on the gfs car, i only use cheap crap on hers as its only a punto, lol, plus, i just like the look/smells of products, speaking of waxamomo, the bilberry i bought from him and find it amazing product, its only the 2nd wheel cleaner ive ever bought, first was by comma and found that awful but was cheap
upholstery is a tough one, i need something tough when i use it, although i dont clean my interior often, only really give it a quick vac

Tazzy - I'm near the Baggies ground junction 1/2 M5. Give me a shout I've got a few products you are more than welcome to try out!
-
nice 1  when do you roughly clean our car? i try and clean mine every sunday as a rule
-
Every weekend - weather permitting whether it's driven or not!

I've tried quite a few tyre dressing products, and the best one for me is Turtle Wax 'wet n black'. Last ages, but the only downside is that no matter how hard I try, it finds its way onto the wheels and attracts brake dust and leaves an oily residue. Still looks and last better than any others I have tried though. Oh and AG bumper care is the tits for black trim!
G101 is fine for interior upholstry, but..............(experts gonna shout and tell me it will ruin it probably) if cleaning the interior by hand, Rug doctor carpet cleaner is phenomenal imo!
