hi matey

i would try replacing your door membrane first as when these leak the water pisses out of the bottom of the door card and in to your footwell.

its dead easy to do just get some plastic sheeting and use the old ones as templates to make new ones as VW want £25 each for them

i think "the golf" magazine did an article on how to do this or it was in readers tips or some thing but i am sure i have read how to do it in there.

or just follow this link ->http://www.matey-matey.com/leak_prevention.shtml to read how to do it on another VW website.

When I replace my door membranes, I always cut a few lengths of plastic and I tape them at the top of all the access holes in the door. I leave the bottoms of these pieces loose and tuck them inside the door so that they deflect any water down to the door bottom, rather than depending on the integrity of the membrane alone.
