Title: Steering Wheel
Post by: richie2480 on 10 September 2011, 06:25
Hi all, Just got my car back from garage. It was in for timing belt change and a couple of other little jobs (coolent temp guage, rear bearings), one of which was indicator cancel not working. The guy explained to me that the lug on the steering wheel that cancels indicator was broken off. Can this lug be replaced or is it a new steering whee? I want to keep it original.

You keep the steering wheel it's a wee plastic tab in the column. But if they broke it I would be getting them to fix it.

They didn't break it. It was a problem I knew about when I bought the car. This was the first chance I had to get it sorted.

Its more than likely the a new indicator stalk with cure this - the tab on the steering wheel don't tend to break.

They do when you drop them.

Do a search on eBay for a used wheel, the leather G60 versions normally go for £30-40.

Wish they were that cheap... I just paid £90.00 for my G60 one... Mind it is superb & then my son nicked it for his car.... Little sod!!!
