I have a spare fuel pump shall I change it?  The car now sounds like it is back firing under load  :cry:

Could be anything from A-Z I'd get your ass to someone you trust that knows MK5 GTI's and has the diagnostic equipment to match.

Change the pump by all means but don't hammer the car if it's running badly.

i know them very well, and have all the kit.  Just thought i would ask befor i got my spanner out  :grin:

I might just change the thrust sensor and go from there.

I never trash my car when she is ill,   just like my other half  :grin:
