what does that mean when i am drivivng and putt my foot down my turbo cutts out and wont come back on till i turn it off and on again ? could it be my air mass sensor ?

Sounds like over boost fuel cut, when the ecu see over boost for around 10seconds the ecu cuts the fuel and limit the power. There is a sticky regarding sticky TDi vnt and a small write upon how to get it cured.
As above your first port of call would be to get the ecu scanned for pending fault code and the codes are found to be linked to boot deviations, then you will need to carry our a logging session to see how the turbo is acting. Where are you from?

thanks lads just see this havent really been on much i am from SE london and i had a aftermarket intercooler on it i have changed that back to standard now and its only done it 1 time since i may still need my ecu scanned are you guys local to me or a mission away lol

You could try and find a golfgtiforum member who is local to you with VCDS who can do a log of blocks 008 & 011 then post them up, I will check them out for you.
