Post by: bogolf on 07 September 2011, 20:23
First question!!!

Mk3 gti 8v [95]

Not happy running cold a bit of revs for 2 or 3 minutes, then it's fine . any ideas?

Thinking back I seem to remember there being a sensor in about the air filter, am I way off track!!!!

Cheers

temp sensor is a common issue.....it's pushed into the top hose (ensure you buy the correct colour)

Cheers

Is there a way of checking that it's the problem, or is it best to just replace?

Get it from the dealer as it wont be much more expensive than OE ones anyway. If not then Eurocarparts, or GSF if you want it right away.
