i found a wire off my maf after alot of mucking about after getting 0.00g readings
now the wire is back in and awaiting replacement plug from vw.
here is what i got
at idle 52.17 gs
at under load @ 5000 rpm 260 gs
i could not do a full 4rd gear test as i ran out of road & weather was dismall
do these reading look normal ? high or low ?
forgot to add mk4 v5 170
cheers smythe

They look high to me.
I may be wrong due to my engine having a turbo but on idle I think mine sit around 3.0 g/s and peak about 168.0 g/s.
168 x 1.25 = 210bhp using the rough rule of thumb. So spot on for a 1.8T AMK.
260.0 g/s x 1.25 = 325bhp
