Hi Guys,
Managed to snap my door handle last night and just wondering what my options are for getting it fixed.
I take it the cheapest way would be to go to a scrappy and get a handle from a golf/audi and swap the lock barrel? Is it really this easy?
Also i've seen handles for a mk2 on eBay - one thats audi style (pull up) and one thats mk3 style. Anyone got any thoughts on these, or am i best sticking to the originals??
Cheers

Yes, it really is that easy! 5 minute job.
The other handles that you have seen on ebay are OK, but not really much quality to them. Swapped mine back to originals after a few weeks......

and the audi style ones require a bit of cutting of the door skin
brand new handles from ECP or GSF aint that dear eiither

in my opinion the audi ones look cheap and sh!tty but the mk3 ones are pretty good. i bought a set but decided to stick with my regular ones so i could keep the bling of the inserts!! the quality seemed fine.

Im not a fan of the audi handles either. If you really wanna be posh then go for a set of polished porsche handles. But in reality you just need to visit a scrapyard and swap your barrels over. Its an easy cheap job.

Cheers Guys - went to the scrappy and got a handle of a polo! Cost £5!! A bit steep for a bit of plastic IMO! Never mind, got it now.

 Go back later and petrol bomb the scrappy! Theiving rip of bar stewards!
Sorry just a bit pissed of with rip of merchants lately!
