Title: Cold callers phoning up and asking how you receive you TV signal
Post by: simonpolly on 06 September 2011, 12:37: Iâ€™ve had about five phone calls from an international call centre in the last two days asking how we receive our TV signal, all say once we complete the survey the phone calls will stop. Is this a well known scam ?,obviously I donâ€™t give them any information and am registered with the TPS on my phone line.

:grin: i do i was just wondering how come they have started pestering us,we will just ignore any international calls from now on,i think its a scam involving sky box maintenance contracts.

said that your in the middle of looking how to make scrambled eggs for your dinner and ask them if they know how and you will answer there questions, then when they quickly say shuv a egg and milk in pan and stir start asking questions, once had someone talking for 4 mins about how to make scrambled eggs before they hung up.

Post by: tg1 on 07 September 2011, 11:22: ask them for the company name they are calling on behalf of and the advisors name as you will be contacting ofcom and bt about the nuisance calls. that usually ensures they hang up sharpish

or tell them to 'koff
