Hi the trial has run out on my dads laptop for office 2010, now i have a home+student one however i can only find the dics and not the box with the key on it?
Any ideas? It has some numbers on the back on the case but i knows its not a product key?
Thanks

Sometimes the key is on the paper sleeve, if it looks long enough, give it a try.

Phone Microsoft.
They used to give me free XP serials when they didn't activate and "I lost the code so used another one I had" etc. Just sound convincing enough.

Have a look on here, one of the tools should work for you...

I find Produkey (http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/product_cd_key_viewer.html)works well, provides you with the Windows Key and Office Keys. Even useful for non-booting drives so you can recover your keys in an emergency.

What I "have", and what I "can get" are not dissimilar.
