Hi all,
Me stunning f plate gti's been running like a pile o crap for a week or two. After much tinkering, I eventually found one of the clips holding the distributer cap on (one nearest cylinder head) had snapped, and the dizzy cap's been wobbling about like it's on the piss. Anyone out there got an ingenious way of securing the dizzy cap without the clips, or is it to be a new dizzy for me ?
Cheers in anticipation of your overwhelming replies.

one of mine snapped sop i just
robbed payed for honestly one from down the scrtappy just got the spring clip and clipped it on, prob could temporarily secure it with a zip tie or 2 to get you to a scrappy tho

whilst ur doin the exchange of clips <grin> change your dizzy cap and rotor arm they'll be well wonky now after that for a bit!

As ed (veedub8V) said above its easy to pinch them from the scrappy so get a couple of them whilst you are there.
You deffo need to change the cap and rotor arm as you have probably scored the inside of the cap with the rotor arm and you run the risk of the spark tracking round this.
Euro car parts are good and cheap for them.
