Just had a 4 wheel laser alignment setup on my MKV GTI, now when driving on a straight road I find myself having to make constant small adjustments to the steering for the car to keep going straight. I understand all roads have camber differences but is this normal for other MKV owners? The car itself handles well and performs good too.
According to the guy who done the alignment this is common for Vredestein tyres to do this?
Any help appreciated

Are the tyres on the correct sides of the car....
Its easy to mistake they could be fitted the wrong way causing this...
Any photo's?

Good point, I could get some pics but won't be able to upload till the weekend
From what I remember the deep tread dimple is on the inside of the tyre and that's the way the tres are fitted. They aren't directionals but inside/outside instead....

Gene is correct. Are you running @ 40PSI as Vredestein suggest?

I'm running 2.4 bar all round, not sure what that works out to in psi?
So from what the alignment garage say he's talking pants as it can't possibly be down to the new Vreds...

I will increase the pressure to 40psi this evening and see how the tyres perform. As the rears aren't Vreds should I also increase them to 40psi too?
According to the garage the geo's all within spec so he's adamant it's the tyres. I've had the suspension inspected and it's all spot on with no faults so it can't be that. Feel pretty confused tbh.
The rear tyres are autogrip  (were already on the car) 18" Monza alloys too.
Thanks for the help

2.4 bar is only 35 psi. Increase them to 40psi. That will solve it I reckon

I have Vred's on the front and run them at 2.4-2.5bar and find them great. I've driven a few hundred miles on them and they feel very planted in the corners.

Cool, run all tyres on 40PSI even though the rears aren't Vreds?

..........long shot but could it be that the rear tyres are not Vreds?. Mine are all 4, & i'm shure Steve is running all 4 the same.

I cant remember the exact reason but if you read your manual vw do recomend you run all 4 same tyres.
