Forgot to add that all i do is remove air intake pipe from it and sparay loads of the above into the MAF.Let it dry out and away you go.

I had one recently that had hesitation and a bit of a flat spot.I did the above and problem sorted !.

Personally I would use proper electrical contact cleaner. I dont know the make up of carb cleaner tbh, but I dont think its alcohol based, and if your cleaning an electrical component, you really want it to evaporate properly. I use a cotton bud to clean it as well, and obviously take it very very gentle when your using it.

the one i mentioned above is a methanol/xylene mix if that helps at all.

That should be ok then.

Just leave it for a good while before refitting to ensure its nice and dry.

Exactly what I used when I did one last, any residues left over from non evaporating fluids, could potentially make it function worse.

Better to replace it tbh.

But replacing will cost u over £100 with your old one as a trade in, so cleaning it for free/ cost of contact cleaner is worth a shot

They are / can be a lot cheaper from Bosch direct, mine was.

They are, hence many are broken during attempted clean ups.
