views and opionions from people you have had/currently own one please?
In need of a new phone now but NOT an Iphone or any smartphone >£200 purely cos I dont want to pay out close to £1000 by the time the contract has ended.
So Samsung Galaxy Ace seems a reasonable budget smartphone for £150 sim-free, but would like peoples views of ownership.
Main reason I want a 'smartphone' is so I can surf the net and check footy scores when out and about.
please begin...

can't you get a decent HTC for free on contract?

I need a pay and go smartphone as well, was thinking of the galaxy ace, whats it like on pay as you go with internet charges though is it really any cheaper? atm I pay less than £10 a month on credit

atm im on the simplicity £10 a month, so get 300 mins, free o2-o2 calls and unlimited txt, might be able to get the 100mb data bolt-on for extra £3 a month... then just buy the Ace and pop my sim into it.

I dont know much about HTC either, any model you'd recommend? quick look on O2 and the basic tariff doesnt offer much free mins or txt

how's the general battery life? I know the more powerful smartphones only last about a day.
-
if im using it all day then rubish but it last a couple days easy, just gotta remember to turn the wifi off wen not using it. i'f got a charger in the car so dont really notice the battery dieing..
i'd say the its a good phone and can do most of the things to more expencive smart phones do, i've never tried to do something that the phone cant, if oyu know what i mean.

cool, I guess battery life on a smartphone will never be as good as a non-smartphone. Is yours running on Android Gingerbread 2.3 OS? any issues with it?

Works out about £15.50 ish a month for a 24 month contract.
