Audi Q7, other Audi's, Merc CLK, BMW 7 series.

These are cars that have them.

The Merc also has halogen high beams, the Audi's don't. Had a Q7 and an A8 flash me and just a flick of blue has they tried to warm up.

They only have HID full beams as they have a bixenon setup where the same bulb does both dipped and full beam, and adjusting the angle of the bulb changes between the two. Therefore the bulb remains on when using them at night. In the case of seperate bulbs for dip and main, a HID bulb doesn't have chance to warm up properly with the sort of interval main beams are used for, and is therefore as useful as a choccy teapot.

Plus illegal HIDs yadda yadda yadda

I think most people UNDERSTOOD what you meant, the point is that HID's need time to warm up so if your flicking between dipped and main beam they will be as much use as a couple of tealights

Check the voltage at your headlight bulbs.

If it's much below 13.8V then go get relays and feed the headlights that way.  With a set of good quality bulbs you'll have near-HID output and people won't think you're a twonk because your headlights arent' designed to have HIDs in them.

Bolt an amp to your radiator and power up your bulbs that way?

Yeah I know sorry I was thinking about my Vento headlights.

You can get the bi-xenon H4 bulbs, so same job.

Not that I'm going to, just saying.
