Title: Just bought my 1st Golf GTI!!

Hi,

Just a message to introduce myself!!
After years of being unable to afford the insurance for a MK2 GTI i finally bought myself a black 3-door 16V at the weekend!!
It's got 152k and is not the best example in the world, but the engine, gearbox and bodywork are all reasonably sound so with a bit of TLC it will be restored to it's orginal glory!
No doubt i'll be asking for plenty of advice over the coming months from people who have experience of fixing up their dubs!
