Title: Could I still use this link
Post by: scarr89 on 31 August 2011, 21:50
http://www.myturbodiesel.com/1000q/a4/clean-intake-manifold-VW-TDI-carbon.htm

This is from the sticky section, how to. This link says it is not for a PD engine, I have the 150pd and need to clean my EGR and manifold, have searched around and cannot find a dedicated guide on a PD engine. Would I still be able to use this guide? How much difference would there be? Or does anyone now of a guide that I could use?

Cheers, Si

Doesn't look too dissimilar to the 150  :undecided:

That is what I was thinking. But would it be along similar lines, perhaps a different screw here or there. As long as it should all be the same idea...I need to find a PD guide!

The basics are there for sure   Removing the EGR and air intake is the same process

Yeah looks pretty much identical - its definitely worth getting the inlet off too and giving that a clean but you may wish to consider new bolts and gasket (less than £10 all together from TPS)
