Title: cambelt
Post by: juggytdi on 31 August 2011, 21:28
Just had are cambelt and waterpump done just noticed there is a sqeaky noise coming from the cambelt as it goes round.
Is this normal as it is new (does it just need wearing in?) can anyone give me some advice? as need to drive to London.

Squeaking as in a chirping noise?
it could be the new water pump (Was it a genuine one?) or that the tensioner is a little tight...

If it was mine i wouldn't be too fussed as i'd expect it to go as things wear a bit - but obviously this is just me, if it's going to worry you then get it checked out by someone in the know.
