Title: Replacement door speakers
Post by: Nathaniel on 30 August 2011, 19:47
Good evening, I wanted to ask for some humble advice.

I'm looking to replace the door speakers and wanted to know if anyone has any recommendations? Also is this something one could do with a little experience?

Cheers

ah. i whacked 2 x 10" subs in the boot and i find the sound very satisfying for standard speackers ( 10:2  )

for upgrading your best bet is to consult the car audio section here (http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?board=14.0)

Hurdy upgraded his ones to a set of Hertz but in true Hurdy style they were very good ones and very expensive. TBH any decent aftermarket speakers will blow away the standard ones.

I've got a similar setup to Adam with 2 x 8'' subs in my boot and I find the standard ones do the job fine for now, no doubt aftermarket ones would do a much better job though.
