Hi all,
My 8v digi has a leak from the main fuel pump located by the rear drivers wheel. Been meaning to do it for a while but need a ETKA diagram. The little 90 degree metal pipe that is part of the connection between the inline fuel filter and the pump is corroded badly and i dont think it will survive the change.
Thanks in advance.

I've looked at the ETKA diagram but it doesn't match (as far as I can tell) what I have on the car. The following photos show what I have and the pipe that is leaking:

Anyone got any ideas?
-
Does anyone know if that 90 degree leaking pipe separate or is it part of the fuel pump?
-
Just bought a bosch pump and it was not in the box or attached- so it must be seperate

looks like a k-jet pump...
looks like you need:
24 - 191201373 - fuel pipe - feed
you might want to get 2 of N 0138128 as well there the washers that seal at each end
and if its the banto bolt thats the problem - 048133505
hope that helps :D
-
That drawing is a k-jet pump, the accumulator is present. Not need on a digi pump.

Update.
The accumalator that is present on my Digi golf is leaking. It has a hairline fracture.
Do I need to replace the whole unit or can I get the corresponding digi part. I'm really confused as by all accounts the accumalator should not be on the car in the first place.
Anyone?
-
you should just be able to change that pipe
-
Anyone know if you can buy the plastic housing that the fuel pump sits in?
-
Bought a new housing for the main fuel pump from vw. The original size pump and casing has been discontinued and the new pump is a smaller diameter than the original. So, have new casing, had to buy a new smaller diameter pump  and have plonked them on the car.
However. The car is running fine at idle but starts to struggle after a little drive, back to idle and she runs fine then struggles on the move again.
Is a different in tank pump needed? I can't see why the new pump size, designed by vw would not work properly.
Anyone had similar issues?

I have for sale a VW ORIGINAL NEW UNUSED Fuel Pump Housing for GOLF GTI MK2 8v suitable for all DIGIFANT fitted with a 46.5mmfuel pump. VW Part No: 2-165-201-042A. I bought this in the USA for my MK2 GTi 16v but found that it was the wrong one for the 16v which has a larger fuel pump fitted (60mm). If this is what you are looking for you can contact me at harper.fish@outlook.com. I am asking £125 for it with Free Posting in UK.
